How Our Contract Roles Work
Every opportunity below is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not employment. Here's what that means for you.
- You control your own hours, methods, and routine.
- You provide your own primary tools, equipment, and workspace, working remotely from home or a home office — you are not treated or held to the expectations of an internal staff member.
- You have the freedom to take on other clients.
- You are engaged to deliver specific results rather than being integrated into the permanent core operations of the company or held to set hours of service.
- You are not subject to blackout periods for time off, since no fixed scheduling is set.
- Applicants must hold credentials appropriate to the role: bookkeeping positions require a recognized bookkeeping certification or equivalent hands-on experience, while more senior positions (controller, CFO-level) require more formal credentials such as a CPA, CMA, or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
